WoW Patch 3.3.5

So patch 3.3.5 dropped last Tuesday, introducing a new (But annoying) chat interface. After logging on for my Icecrown Citadel raid on Wednesday, I was a bit annoyed at the fact Blizzard disabled officer-chat by default, which took me a minute to figure out.

Another new thing is the friends list that you can add friends from other realms to. You use their Real-ID to add them, which is great, except for one thing… Your real ID is your e-mail address. Personally, I don’t feel like letting people know what my login e-mail address is, even if I know them really well. I wish they’d think of a different feature. Something like a nick-name would be nice. BigBubba778. Yeah, that’s a good one.

I would also love to mention the new raid, Ruby Sanctum. This raid will be released in a couple weeks so it’s fair for everyone. I mean, we can’t have the Europeans or the people with dial-up complaining. Honestly, though, if you’re using dial-up you shouldn’t be on WoW. The Ruby Sanctum is under the Wyrmrest Temple by the Obsidian Sanctum. This will not, however, be the same as OS. There will be no 3D mechanic. What there will be is a heroic/regular mode for both 10 and 25-man. The gear off this boss will be comparable to ICC gear. 10-man is said to drop 251 and 25-man is said to drop 264. This will, of course, change to 264 and 277 for heroic 10 and 25-man respectively.

In some other random World of Warcraft news; the ICC buff was raised to 25% on patch day. This is one more step up from the 20%. This buff is expected to go all the way up to 30% before 3.3.9 comes out. What all this means is that Blizzard is trying to get everyone, even casual guilds to clear ICC, or at least most of it.

People were also asking “Can we take back Gnomergan now?” The answer is no. Patch 3.3.9 will introduce the taking back for the trolls and gnomes. This is also the pre-courser to to Cataclism, which is expected to be released in November.

I hope you found this article informative and not-so-boring. Please stay tuned for more game related news.
